Table Host Expectations

  • Fill your table with seven or eight friends, family members, or colleagues who will commit to joining you at your table.
  • Submit your guests’ names by April 30, 2024. You can also have your friends sign up themselves. See instructions below for more information. 
  • Remind your friends as the day of the breakfast approaches.
  • Arrive for the breakfast by 8:30 am.
  • Greet your guests and engage with them on the day of the breakfast.
  • Stay present and engaged throughout the event, actively participating in conversations and activities at your table.
  • Pay attention to the needs of guests at your table. Offer assistance if someone requires help or has specific requests.
  • Collect giving envelopes from your guests at the end of the program and give the gifts to event coordinators.
  • Express gratitude to guests for attending the fundraiser and for their support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

Step 2: Invite Your Guests

Here is a sample template you can use to invite folks from your network text (or email if you aren’t able to text).

 I am excited to be hosting a table at Habitat for Humanity’s upcoming Community Breakfast fundraiser. Habitat provides affordable housing solutions to families in need of a hand-up. 

 I know you care about seeing families and communities flourish, and I would be honored to have you at my table to find out more about the incredible impact this ministry is having. The breakfast is on May 11 at 9:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Richmond  (401 W. Main St.).
