Volunteer Opportunities

We see a need in the community to help low-income, elderly, and individuals with disabilities who are struggling to keep the exterior of their homes safe and well-maintained. Through Rock the Block, you can help meet this need one neighborhood at a time.  Rock the Block will focus on specific neighborhoods to provide these families with minor exterior repairs, yard clean-up, exterior painting, and light landscaping that will help them reclaim their homes with pride and dignity.

We are so grateful to our dear friends at Meijer for sponsoring the launch of this exciting new program!

No experience is needed. If you would like to volunteer with Rock the Block, please click the link below to fill out a volunteer interest form.

Location: Repairs for our June Rock the Block will be in Berea, KY. Specific information provided upon registration.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Habitat for Humanity!  With the help of people like you, families achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life. These positive changes ripple through the lives of others, bringing improvement to our entire community.

There are many ways you or your group can join in the effort to build a brighter future for local families. Maybe you want to swing a hammer on a building site, or perhaps helping our administrative staff or ReStore team is more your speed. No matter your preference, we would love for you to join us.

To get involved, just follow these easy steps

Home Repair Volunteers

Many local families are in need of critical home repairs but don’t have the resources or ability to do them on their own. This is when home repair volunteers step in. Anyone 18 years of age and over can be a home repair volunteer and no experience is required.

Building Site Volunteers

While home construction and renovation isn’t the only way to serve at Habitat, it’s a big part of what we do. Volunteering on a worksite is perfect for those who want to get their hands dirty and learn or apply new skills.

NOTE:  Construction volunteer opportunities are temporarily on hold. Please check back soon.

ReStore Volunteers

Our Restores are a key part of Habitat’s building efforts for those in need of decent and affordable housing. Restore is perfect for those who enjoy being creative with retail and helpful to customers.

Administrative Volunteers

Our office is our command center! From answering phones, hosting events, and photographing our building efforts to advocating for our cause by reaching out to the community, we could use you!

Group Volunteers

Working for a greater purpose alongside your colleagues, church group, school group, or civic organization is meaningful and fun! Not only do we have a dormitory that can accommodate up to 16 volunteers, but we have lots of projects that will make a difference in our community.
